TREE FROM ABOVE

Both of us went to the ophthalmologist on Monday. Thanks to Lagaytha for driving us. We were sitting in a room with eyes still under the influence when a lady came and asked, "Does anyone in here drive a gold Toyota Avalon?" Norm said, "We have one parked in the handicap parking out front." She said, "I hate to tell you this, but a tree limb has fallen on your car. I will ask maintenance to remove it, take pictures for you, and give you our liability insurance information." She did. Joyce was waiting to see the doctor, so Norm donned glasses provided

and looked at the car as if "through a glass darkly." It put $897.23 worth of dent above the right front door. Two ladies who were sitting on a bench closeby stated that the limb seemed to fall from near the top of the tree. They were frightened but not struck.

I'm so glad you weren't hurt. I hope it doesn't take long for them to repair your car.

Man, that is quite a dent. I'm glad the limb didn't hit sideways, it would have crushed your whole roof! These are the surprises of life we can do without. A pastor friend of mine would say that God just wanted to talk to you and this was His way of getting your attention.

We have friends in Sherman, TX who had a tree fall on their house this week! It was a 70-footer and made a hole all the way in to their bedroom ceiling. Thankfully, no one was injured. I am glad you are all okay. Cars (and houses)can be fixed.

I am glad no one was sitting and waiting in the car and that everyone is okay.

Dale brought home a new van last week and asked how I liked the color. I looked more closely than usual and saw a few dents and then a few more and realized it had severe hail damage! Back to the dealer we went:)
