On February 14, 1952, Norman gave Joyce an engagement ring. The wedding took place on August 25 of that year. For the 50th wedding anniversary, Norman gave Joyce an angel with a gold halo that had a golden access to the inside of the base for holding rings. Fifty-five years later, Valentine's Day is still special.
