Cards

Joyce has been drawing pictures on cards and bookmarks and Norman has painted them.

Norm's birthday

On his birthday, Norm received many cards, an Olympus digital camers, a 256 memory card, a Mayo tie, and yearbooks that Lagaytha let us "have on loan."

The children sent Norm cards thanking him for the wooden cars. The ramp we used to race the cars.

On February 1st, the children installed the wheels on the wooden cars and painted them. Norm had made a track and they raced the cars two at a time. Lagaytha was the official starter. Each child received a ribbon.

The craft activity at the place for January 11 was tying knots and creating walnut shell boats. The paper plate was converted into a lake for the boat. The sail is made from toothpicks and cloth.

Wooden toy cars for The Place

Thursday, January 25th, Norm will explain some facts concerning wood; then the children will begin the assembly of wooden toy cars. He made the "hammers" using dowels. The children will sandpaper and paint the cars as they wish.
